This relatively new and exciting science can be seen everywhere in the world around us, and new applications are being found in science all the time. Fields as diverse as meteorology and fluid dynamics all use chaos theory, and it is by scientists in these fields that some of the greatest discoveries have been made.

However, you do not have to be a top scientist or mathematician to enjoy or understand this new science - there are many programs around that will let anybody experiment with fractals, and many books have been written on the subject.
